Megan Tipsword

Megan Tipsword is a Georgia-based designer and ceramic artist. Megan’s attraction to ceramic arts is undoubtably reinforced by a love for hands-on work. Her primarily wheel-thrown pieces embody a variety of stonewares, colorants, applied textures, and design elements. Her most recent work explores challenging shapes, pushing clay into minimalistic, controlled, and finely crafted, functional vase forms.

Megan began her training in ceramics in 2011 after enrolling in a wheel-throwing class at LaGrange College. After receiving her B.A. in Graphic Design and Ceramic Arts, she worked as a studio assistant for a local pottery studio. Megan is now working as a designer and creating ceramic works from her home in Georgia.
